WOODEN POWDER COATING

Three basic powder coating processes to simulate a wood grain effect. It is originated in Italy and now it is available widely in the world. The process is using wood grain film or wood grain paper, wood grain pattern printed on the transfer film, or paper on the aluminum profile surface which has been powdered with the wood grain primer powder by vacuuming, and then sent to the baking oven for baking.

In a short word, Apply polyester powder, green bake, apply for transfer, remove air between powder & transfer (vacuum chamber), bake, this process is the most popular way for the wood grain effect can be used on different shapes and different materials. The production efficiency is high and the cost is affordable. The wood grain effect produced by this process is the most realistic.

THE SECOND: POWDER ON POWDER

Spray the wood grain primer powder on the aluminum profile surface, and then bake and then use the roller machine to roll the wood grain pattern on the coating layer and bake again. In a short word, Apply powder, bake, apply powder and brush off to form grain effect – bake. Any shape can be coated but finish similar to wood ex a sawmill because the two films of powder do not flow together. The wood grain pattern produced by this process is more rigid. It is not realistic enough, but it can realize the three-dimensional effect of the grain and has good weather resistance

THE THIRD: ARTPOW

Artpow is another Martex exclusive, one-bake system, no prints, low cost, smooth any shape of the profile. Nylon or thermosetting powders. Grain effect not as good as the first process (but okay for most industrial applications).
